The club offers a variety of customizable membership choices to meet your needs. Our most popular full adult membership costs PS38.00 per month with no time commitment. The cost of a junior membership is PS130 per year. People must pay an initial membership fee, however juniors and young adults under the age of 18 are exempt.
Wimbledon’s pricing is similar to that of other British sports clubs - Olympic athletes and members of the British royal family are among those who have paid up to GBP100,000 for exclusive rights to own tennis courts at the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC).
Tennis at Wimbledon begins at the start of June and ends in late April. During this period, all-weather courts are used exclusively by professional players. In early May, grass courts are laid out for use by amateurs who have money to buy tickets for the Grass Court Championships. These exhibitions take place over two days and the top eight or nine players on the grass court rankings qualify for the main event: the Wimbledon Championships. The rest of the season consists of indoor hardcourt tournaments played during the winter months.
Indoor hardcourts were first used at Wimbledon in 1968. Before then, the all-weather courts were used throughout the year. Since then, they have become the standard form of play at AELTC.
The entrance cost is $30,000, although it is waived for select members, such as those who can make music and perform at the club’s yearly retreat. Month-to-month dues range from around $600 to $67 for people who do not have to pay an introductory fee.
The club offers various membership levels, ranging from “Social” ($15,000) which includes use of the facilities but no voting rights, to “Honorary” ($200,000) which gives you access to all the club’s activities and events. There is also a special category called “Consultant” that costs $100,000 per year. This status is given to people who help the board of directors by providing advice on issues before them.
In order to be considered for admission into the club, applicants must present evidence of wealth. This could include letters of recommendation, proof of income, or ownership of real estate. Members are expected to participate in club activities and donate their time to cause of the president’s choosing.
The club’s goal is to bring together people who have something to offer society with like-minded individuals who want to improve themselves through social interaction. It is believed this type of environment will help members achieve success in their business ventures.
The first membership period is 12 months. Please contact Kathy Anderl, Membership Director, to be kept up to date on any current special offerings. Individuals pay $250.00, couples pay $300.00, families pay $350.00, juniors pay $175.00, and limited pay $200.00. These amounts do not include tax.
There is also a second membership option called the “Classic” membership. This membership includes all the benefits of the original membership plus access to all the programs and facilities that are available only to Westfield Tennis Club members. The fee for this membership has increased to $400.00 per person or $800.00 per couple.
Individuals who join as full-time students will be given a student membership which provides free admission to students with a valid ID. Students who join as part-time residents of Westfield will be given a resident student membership which provides free admission for themselves and one additional adult household member. With many luxury golf clubs charging initiation fees of more than $100,000 these days, you’d imagine Augusta National would easily be in the six-figure range. Augusta memberships, on the other hand, are significantly less expensive than you may expect. The initiation cost is expected to range between $20,000 and $40,000. This includes an annual dues payment of $275 (or $175 for those who qualify for an income-based discount). These amounts include the cost of food and drink at the clubhouse. They do not include use of the facilities at either of Augusta’s other courses, which are available to members without charge.
In addition to the initiation fee, members must also pay an annual dues payment. This varies depending on how long they have been members, but for example, current members can choose between two levels of membership: Classic and Pro-Am. The initiation fee for both types of memberships is the same. As well as having their name printed on a plaque inside the clubhouse, members also receive several other benefits. These include a set of four badges, which can be worn on clothing items; entry into certain events throughout the year; discounts at the club store, caddie shop, and restaurant; and more.
It is possible to become a guest at Augusta instead of becoming a member. This can be done by anyone who has attended a few events and paid the required fee. Guests are allowed to play any of the courses but cannot vote on policy changes or select the president.
The following are the prices associated with a membership at the Seattle Tennis Club, according to the Comparative Cost Survey for Private Clubs published in the August 2015 edition of the Washington Athletic Club Magazine: The initiation fee is: a one-time cost of $30,000-$50,000 plus an annual fee of $25,000 or more. There is also a site development fee of $150,000- $300,000.
The monthly dues are: $120-$175 per month.
The yearly dues are: $9,000-$12,500. This includes both the initiation fee and the monthly/weekly rate of $120/$85.
The lifetime dues are: $135,000- $180,000.
These figures do not include any additional charges for using the club’s facilities. For example, if you want to play on one of their three courts, it will add about $60 per hour ($360 total for the day). If you want full access to all of their amenities (including health club, pool, tennis shop), their monthly fee is reduced significantly ($1750 instead of $2000).
In conclusion, the Seattle Tennis Club is a very expensive option for those who can afford it.
